Have your tachograph converted in time
By the end of 2024* at the latest, your analogue or digital 1B tachograph must be converted to the new Smart Tacho Version 2 (1CV2).
The new Smart Tacho Version 2 (1CV2) becomes mandatory for all vehicles over 2.5 tonnes that cross borders. It does not apply to domestic transport.
- From 1/1/2025 mandatory for all tachographs from before 6/2019. These are the analogue and digital 1B tachographs.
- From 18/8/2025 mandatory for conversion from Smart Tacho Version 1 (1CV1) to Version 2 (1CV2).
- From 1/7/2026 mandatory for all vehicles from 2.5 tonnes used for international transport.
